Long Island Pointing Labs

Long Island Pointing Labs is a work in progress. We have a strong foundation with 2 Labradors
out of some of the best breedings in the Country. We will strive to produce some of the best all
around hunting dogs money can buy. It all starts with our Stud. Let me introduce "Shadow
Mountains Magnum Decoy" aka Deke. Deke is from Shadow Mountain Labs in Colorado. I can
not say enough good things about Deke. Deke is one of those dogs that you can take in the
upland and he will find and point any and all birds in the field one minute and then change gears
and sit quietly in a blind and when called upon will swim against the tide, break ice, and even go

Then there is our female "Point to Points Foremost Cabela" aka Bella. Bella is from Final
Approach Retrievers in Indiana. Bella is 14 month's old and had an awesome first season. She
made her pointing debut in South Dakota this year and threw her first points on wild birds. I was
very impressed with her upland skills after only hunting Pheasants for 3 days. Bella then
became one of the best first year duck hunting dogs I have ever seen. She sits in the motor well
of our new Bankes Freedom 17 and scans the sky line for ducks. She is extremely steady for her
age and when called upon will do anything to make a retrieve on a Duck or Goose. She has had
at least 400 birds shot over her this year.See Bella's page for more information.

Our Goal is to produce a few litters of pup's that anyone would be proud to hunt over. We will
also STUD Deke out to approved females. Females do not necessarily have to hold titles but they
must Hunt and Hunt well. All females must have current Health Clearances as well. Information
